Originally i used a light grey on the grid. However, in order to make sure all my pieces (tetrominoes) used separate colours -like the real game does- without going over the 8 colour limit i chose to use the darker blue of the right piece after much deliberation. I felt that it was far more critical to the design that the pieces were all their own colours. Also, i wanted the grid to be a more subtle element and step back from the tetrominoes a bit. |

I like it because it has both the Tetris and Tempest feel to it. By the way, Tempest kicks ass.

I actually had a version of tetris like this which i played the hell out of on my 486. the field was rectangular rather than cylindrical, and with increasing difficulty levels it departed from the familiar tetris blocks into various 3 dimensional configurations. anywho...

Well, considering it's on a black shirt, you're only at 7 colors right now, so you could easily make the grid white.

anyone remember that ad when they first brought tetris out on gameboy where people are just standing around at famous monuments and tetris blocks just start falling out of the sky? this reminds me of that.

@ LINK2DPAST: The shirt colour, black, must still be counted as the eighth colour. Besides, i felt a white grid was too strong behind the desaturated colours on the pieces. I originally used a light grey, but found the dark blue complemented the tetrominoes best and allowed me to work with the limit.

FRICKINAWESOME on Jan 19 '08 I like the idea here, i just wish there was another catch or level besides, "woah, it's 3d tetris blocks coming at me." Maybe with a more unique design or combo of them around the shirt?
