I did this myself for self promo, after a couple of months i saw it on a magazine, somebody has done it before(i didn't know it until then) , and I think you didn't see it before so it is cool.

gaaaaaaaagghhh! no i didnt, gutted!!! is it exactly the same wording? cos that is well shit! that happens 2 me ALL the time! its so hard 2 come up with something that hasnt already been done, normally i come up with something that im sure has 2 be original and then i see it just days later after all the hard work, what the fuck IS that all about!? ha

originality is in the eye of the archaeologist;

the cult of the author (and of it's originality) has been passée composé for some time now. perhaps if we relax just a bit our designs would mutate faster and we all would be happier with our cooler, design-richer and more mature (although maybe less "original") t-shirts. something as cool as our eyes or our tounges didn't just sprout from one generation to the next. it's been lots of "hard work", very very small revisions over stuff that had been succesful before.

if we strive to be so original, we shouldn't even be wearing t-shirts with witty messages on them. that thing has been on for decades.

What's the difference between 'thinking' you're a designer and *being* a designer?

If you have to be good to be a designer, I must say that I've only seen about 30 "designers" at threadless since I started coming here one or two years ago..

Classic :)

As for the designer debate, I consider myself more of an artist who happens to like design a hellovalot.
