Rockslide on Jan 12 '08 Great idea, I just wish it was worked out a bit more in the execution. The cold blue background and perfect shadow are way too sterile for the lively tree. Maybe more variety to the birds too, a single bird flying in to land on the tree. Great idea though. I'ld love to see a rework and resub.

I disagree with Rockslide, there should not be any birds flying in because it is Fall. The birds on the ground represent leaves falling down. And olive green for the shirt color does sound good to me too. $5

Actual green leaves on the front with a bare tree on the back that has all the autumnally hued birds on the ground.

Only thing that could make it better would be to put a few more on the ground. It would make the design seem fuller somehow, which it needs just a little bit.

It looks like the grackles in the trees around here.

like the design, but that's not really how shadows work... i hate to see people just copy/paste an image as a shadow, when in reality the sun's angle differs from the viewer's, so the shadow should be almost like a grey version of a top-down view of the tree, so it would be fuller looking and the bird silhouettes would be different... that would really irk me if i bought this (but maybe i'm just really picky)

thanks for the great comments! the shadow had to be there, coz without it the design looked really bare. and i tried adding more foliage but it just looked too crowded for me. i figured less is always more on threadless:)
