te amo!

the design isn't very loving, by which i mean, if it weren't for the text i would have never guessed what it was trying to say. The colours chosen just don't seem to reflect what's being said, and neither are the fonts.

naiive_visions on Jan 11 '08
I agree with ginette; the colors look more angry to me.

I also agree. I think it's a cute concept, but it needs something more than just the words to make it seem like it's talking about love.

i just realized that ich libe dich and te amo are next to each other, and both of those are of sentimental value to me

good or bad, it does not matter what you have to say... i still love everyone who care to give his/her two cents.

thanks, and i love you!

Sorry I don't like this. Too many differnt type faces. It does not even come close to being cohesive. Just looks like a thoughtless hodgepog of stuff. They might as well be saying " Suck it dork" for what this design conveys visually. Sorry to be so brutally honest but I would not buy this if you paid me.

If there's no Japanese on it (aishiteru), then I wouldn't buy it...
JoeMonster
JoeMonster on Jan 12 '08
sorry that's due to space constraint... i'll make one for you in japanese all by itself if that will make you happy...

the typography between the speach bubbles is a bit off. over kerned and under kerned at the same time, and the one bad widow on "mina armastan sind!".

i LOOOOOVVVE the idea though. well done still

i don't really get what you mean, but thanks anyway!

I just came across this again and surprisingly I still don't care for it one bit. The silohouttes look like total clip art from Kmart. I am not an artist or a designer I'm just a girl who works at an artsy coffee shop but I am pretty sure this is not good beyond my own personal opinion

JoeMonster on Jan 12 '08
thanks for repeating yourself. and thanks for caring it enough to spend your time bringing me down again. really appreciate that!

lose the word bubbles all together and just have the text. The people are cool.

Also... I would recommend never taking advice from a coffee house girl named "nutt butt"

I dont like the tetx. You just typed the words using different fonts, but didnt work on them. Try to make the words more attractive, make them fit better the baloons. The treatment you do on every single pixel of your design make the difference in my opinion. The idea is there though. :-)

are all of the phrases correct?
magarra
magarra on Jan 13 '08
German is correct, italian is not: "Ti amo" it should be... for all the others some language genius has to post
JoeMonster
JoeMonster on Jan 13 '08
"Te amo" is not italian... it's latin.
cantudoit
cantudoit on Jan 13 '08
Te Amo is also Spanish.

I like the idea behind this design....colours and use of type may need some tweaking- that's all....

delraz on Jan 13 '08
"mahal kita" is more proper in tagalog. cool concept but i think the execution needs more work - the font choices arent adding up in the composition.
Da3mon
Da3mon on Jan 13 '08
i think that te amo is portuguese =)
Starfish Reverie
Starfish Reverie on Jan 13 '08
...."te amo"is indeed Spanish. Trust me here, I'm fluent in it.

Fugly, fugly, fugly text. Handwrite it, and it would look worlds better. Softer colors. Use pinks and reds. And get creative with your silhouettes. Give them some strange feature or something.

Only after you complete these three tasks will you earn my 5$.
JoeMonster
JoeMonster on Jan 13 '08
thanks, i think your feedback is worth much more than your 5$!

Sorry, but you have mistake here ;) In "Miluji te", there is sth missing. A tick over "e". "Te" means nothing. You should have found font with czech letters and website with alphabet and use sth like ctrl+c, ctrl+v.
spassamdienstag
spassamdienstag on Jan 15 '08
if s'ayapo is supposed to be greek then there is a mistake as well. you spell it with a gamma instead of a `y'. making it se agapo

Its rather nice, but maybe softer colors for the speech bubbles, and it would be nice to have japanese/chinese to balance it out. Also something about the font is a little weird.

But its a nice concept :)

its not meant to be cohesive. the idea is to show the diversity of different languages.

thanks anyway!
