About my design

by Posn
As usual I don't want to go to deep in to what my intentions are with my picture. I just want you to make up your own opinion about what it is I try to express.

Felines are taking over the computer industry? It would make sense with the new Apple operating system.

Very clever, sir. Very clever indeed.

Yes, I am bitter.

My OPINION is, that this one is much more interesting than that "Fallen Blue Angel" one that I'm not allowed to have an opinion on.

Are there any special inks for this one? Like a gold coloured ink? It's kind of gold coloured and that's why I'm asking. I think it would look great in gold ink!

I also like how the gold colour looks on that maroonish colour for the background. I think a maroon shirt would also look great with this design.

More naive art?! Completely unoriginal! Wish it even provoked me. Definitly overdone, this was sooo yesterday.

Sorry

what's it say there at the bottom? you should try including a zoomed in box or something to your submissions next time if there are going to be details we can't make out.

It's all well and good that you like to leave your work open to the interpreter but this is supposed to be a design not artwork. there actually is a difference. design should have a well expressed concept, or else it just falls apart.

i mean, it's an alright image but there just isn't much else to interest me in this shirt.

ps. you should take out those initials

And more violation of Threadless' Terms of Use. Can't they ban users here for that?

This "professional" artist is submitting his designs here that are already making him scads of money on a competitor's site.

Here's the design elsewhere

So glad I read the comments on the "fallen blue angle [sic]" sub that feebsicle spoke of. This guy is a complete ass whose sole purpose here seems to be to violate the terms of use for some "market research"

And Posn, before you try to bait me, you asked for us to make up our own opinion about what it is I try to express. That's my opinion.

Oh and it's "or" nor "ore".

did you draw that tiger? or cut and paste it? it looks kind of boring and lifeless on that circuit card. maybe neon colors.
feebsicle
feebsicle on Dec 28 '07
The fact that your designs violate the Terms of Use here is another thumbs-down from me. Rudeness, trolling on other people's design threads, trying to shut up the people voicing their opinions of your work...it's just not very good ethics. You could lose customers this way, being the professional designer that you are.

I mean, if you had a customer who searched you on the internet, found your Threadless submissions to take a look at some of your work...and instead saw your attitude, I doubt they would be so inclined to be your customer. This is what I mean by "lack of professionalism".

Company Overview

BioChemix, Inc., a privately held company, holds the patents for Glucarate, has been the primary supplier of patented D-Glucarate since its commercial introduction in 1997. D-Glucarate is a patented dietary supplement ingredient that is sold in bulk to more than 50 companies, such as Rexall Sundown, GNC, Weider Nutrition International, Twin Lab, Enzymatic Therapy and Natrol. BioChemix, Inc. is headquartered in Austin, Texas.

In addition to tablets and capsules, D-Glucarate is being formatted into food bars, powdered drinks, and other food items. Utilizing Potassium Hydrogen D-Glucarate, BioChemix has formulated a Short and Long Term Plan to help eradicate cardiovascular disease.

The Short Term Plan entails marketing the cholesterol managing formulation which consists of Potassium Hydrogen D-Glucarate as a core ingredient. This form of D-Glucarate will be accompanied by a handful of other beneficial natural ingredients that also have significant scientific data validating their cholesterol managing benefits.

BioChemix's Long Term Plan of proprietary product development is to complete human cholesterol trials in order to formulate a patented natural supplement that will regulate cholesterol via absorption, synthesis and detoxification/excretion and regulate homocysteine.

Potassium Hydrogen D-Glucarate is a patented method of cholesterol management. BioChemix is currently researching other natural chemicals which would inhibit synthesis and absorption, the other two keys. BioChemix anticipates a patented synergistic natural formulation, with human trial data, which will effectively regulate both cholesterol and homocysteine.

I love CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. To give constructive criticism you need to now what you are talking about...:-)

And to do that, you need experience and kowledge (which is not very likely at 16...ore?).

If you don't have this, it's better if you just express your taste. Suggestions just sounds stupid if not.

Peace and love to you all, and thanks for your comments and votes.

OMFG!!!!

PRINT NOW!!!!! NOW!!!! I'm sixteen and i have no experience in this "art" thing so i think this is amazing!!! I dont have an opinion because i will be blind to art and its complexities until i have completed my future degree in big boy art college.

Im actually 23 and have gone thru art school. and this would get trashed if you put it on the wall for critiques in any of my classes. You would also get thrown out of the class for being a prick. You ask for constructive criticism, but you dont give any. you just pile shit into the comment boxes of people looking for real input.

If you want my critique/ opinion. You should put it in gold ink on a green shirt so it actually resembles a circuit board. The tiger looks out of place (cuz it is) and the design doesnt tell us anything. it means nothing. It is just a graphic that doesnt convey a message or a joke or a wittcism or anything that anybody would BUY. this is an art contest, and your drawing of a tiger (if it is yours) isnt bad, but it gets drowned by that circuit board, and vice versa; but this is an art contest for a company that is trying to make money off your design. I would not buy this, even if you were a nice guy. And being norwegian is no excuse to be rude. I'd give you a 0 cuz you're annoying, but i'll give you a 2 because that's what would give this design either way.
Chris Carney
Chris Carney on Dec 28 '07
Yes. The green and gold would make it more accurate and aesthetically more pleasing to the eye. Rather than a tiger I would have superimpose Leonardo da vinci's "vitruvian

man"

Heh, I came into this design thread to see why it was "popular" because it didn't look that interesting on the thumb. Now I know its just a battleground. Heh.

but seriously though, honest judgment despite the terrible attitude you have there, I could make that in 5 min flat. No kidding. I know you probably did, so I wouldn't rate it high. It looks from the other images you might know something about what you are doing so why peddle the junk on here? send us something you are proud of.
