Honestly, I think I would LOVE this design without the owl. I know the owl gives it the whole 'fall in the woods' thing but... just the leaves alone create an amazing pattern and color variable.

Nice detail but the whole owl motif is dead for now. It's popped up in countless variations lately.

"Lately" as in since the 60's? I can agree with that.. : ) Actually Im pretty sure they have been popping up on all sorts of items since before then.

I don't however agree that the motif is dead. There will always be people who love owls either, for the pure beauty of the bird, or for their meaning in various cultures and mythology.

I love the colors, very neutral organic. I question the placement, I know everyone says they love it, but that is what is keeping me from loving it. It reminds me of a sash, like a swoop of leaves, but I feel like the design should either be the entire shirt or a smaller "gust" of leaves to have the eye follow around the shirt and create more movement. Great work, keep it up.

I meant the motif is popping up on a lot of Threadless submissions lately. Of course nature will never go out of fashion, but owl designs seem really faddish on this site currently.

lol.. ok, yes it does seem to happen like that here, but not just with owls.. keep your eyes open, and it always seems like their are a bunch of one kind of theme submissions. maybe we are just all on a similar wavelength.

It happens with everything: hearts, sunsets, floral patterns. But I've just noticed owls are everywhere.
