Huge print, or belt (does not need to wrap, but needs to be close to seams)

It is designed to make you look like a big bumble bee. Black ink on yellow shirt, possibly suade or puff ink.

Actual sheet music for The Flight of the Bumble Bee by Nikolai Andreyevich Rimsky-Korsakov. Music is public domain, copyright does not apply.

I really like the idea, but you should bolden the notes or something becuase i didn't realize they were supposed to be stripes until you mentioned it.

Oh my goodness. I laughed so hard at this. I love Rimsky-Korsakov. PRINT!

you need to have bees on there too or something... but I LOVE IT.

I love this idea :D It's just a bit hard to tell at first that they're stripes. I don't think that the image could be bolder though, it would make the notes impossible to read, since the lines are so close together to begin with. Maybe the subtlety is better ;)

a version with more bold/thickness is in the works, thanks for the support so far.

very cool for the music geek, love it, but like some of the previous commentors i think you should make the staff bolder so the bumblebee part is more clear

Nice idea, you could also try black stripes with yellow lines and notes (shirt color)

Argh, I despise this piece, pain in the butt to play. :-P
It's a nice concept, but I agree that it should be darker/bolder to get the desired effect.

@ dacat. the current version is precisely that.

I love this idea! It HAS to be BOLDER in order to make the joke. (I'm jumping on here cuz I want this to work!) Once this is fixed, it's a WINNER!

what if ya dropped the music out of black stripes?
michaelbeckdesign
michaelbeckdesign on Dec 14 '07
you could leave the bass clef part out to make the notes bigger.
michaelbeckdesign
michaelbeckdesign on Dec 14 '07
you could delete the bottom clef chart to make the top bar notes bigger.

This might have worked better if you'd kept the yellow shirt, and then had the music etc in shirt colour on black stripes.

Still, nice idea, good luck.

This would definitely be terrific if the music was increased in thickness/boldness. Fantastic.

I agree, make the notes darker... or make it a black shirt with yellow notes.

great idea...but for it to be apparent...you should not only make the notes closer toghtther and larger, but drop the lines without notes, so that there would be a large bold black line and then a completely yellow one, witch should allow you to bring the lines with notes much closer toghether and make therefore much more of them, incresing the stripped bumble bee look tenfold

yeah darken the lines for sure, maybe make the notes bumble bees instead of notes, liven it up a little, ya know?

Condensing the height of the bars of music, along with boldening them will accomplish the bee stripy-ness.

Once that is done it's a true $5. For now it's a 5 because I want TL to pay attention to this design and print it's bumble bee successor.

Love the idea... bring out the "stripe-ness" and add bees.

I agree that it needs to be bold thicker lines and most certainly have some bees buzzing around the notes to make it clearer.

It might work if you made the staff small...like really small.
I mean, its a long piece there's plenty of music. But small music

would produce a "darker" black area without making it too hard
to read, along teh lines of a halftone. If you were to then space

the staffs a little differently, say, lay three close togeather, then
leave a nice wide band, and repeat that down the shirt, it might

just accomplish your goal...if you catch my sublt formatting... :)
I LOVE the concept, and want one when you make it work!

Brilliant idea. Try putting the staves closer together, and as everyone has said make them bolder. The stripes will be smaller, but more distinct.

agreeing about the thickness, but that's been covered. I like it.
