The craftsmanship, needless to say, is awesome. There is just that tiny problem wullagaru noted of having the worm with two tails and no head, but yeah I probably would've done what you did to solve that. . . it's tough to work it into that specific symbol but this look really nice.

im gonna add "in my opinion" before i even type this

the worms ruin a gorgeous apple illustration, even just changing the faces or something would fix it, i just think they are taking away from the apples sheer beauty

I love the concept because I love science. If the worms were rounder and organic, I think it would look nicer and the concept would not be lost. It's fairly obvious that it's an atom, so making the worms look more like worms rather than orbitals would make it even stronger. The worm faces are kinda scary, too.

Excellent work on the apple, it really looks great, I think the design would be best on a soft green like is shown, the dark red background doesn't come off as well.
