Why is part of the yellow hand missing?

NomadSlim on Dec 12 '07 I like it. Is the white hand Jesus'? I know, the nails went through the wrist supposedly, but maybe they missed and now someone is poking their thumb through it.

Without the title it could be taken racistly. It looks like hands of different races attacking each other instead of the unity symbol of people holding hands.
