Up close it's really hard to tell what it is.. or at least by the background graphic of the eye... but I really love it!!!! 5!

I love it as an album cover, poster, or other medium, but the proportions on the t-shirt seem a little off--seems to cramped stretching all the way next to the armpits. I think it would be even more powerful if it were smaller--so you really have to zero in on it.

Really? well the placement is approximate, so don't let that really effect your opinion of it. I had thought about the intersection with the armpits, and i also would not want that to happen, so it would be smaller on the actual shirt.

I think it would look cool on the side, but then I suppose you couldn't see all the detail on the eye. Just a suggestion.

...sorry couldn't resist the anime nerd impulses XD but yeah, this could really benefit from a little decrease in size. its visual weight is just a bit overpowering as is.. otherwise i'd buy it in a heartbeat ^_^ |

mezo on Dec 12 '07 You remind me of ths one dude, Roscoe, who was in one of my college illustration classes. After a few class crits on our finished works, we realized all of Roscoe's stuff had the exact 3 colors in it. Turns out, those were the only color pencil he owned.
Anyway. Not bad. I love 1984. And your red/white/black colors work with this. 3 |

WOW, am so glad you posted the link to the critique, it was really intriguing to see the process you went through with the different versions. I love seeing evolutions of designs like that. They all really rocked, but I think you hit the nail on the head with this one, and I'm glad you submitted it.

Dont want to let you down, but the Big brother logo (the reality show) is this same concept: eye with a camera inside.

Large print, yes! It looks great on a tee. I haven't read 84 yet... In fact there's a lot of classics I've not read yet.

I like the creepiness of the design, but it would be cooler on a darker color, I almost want to say black, but that would merge with the design. Had I done it I would have used dark grey on the black parts of the eye and black as a background, but it's coll nevertheless.
I like that you comment on critiques, some designers never say a word. |

thanks family force. well argh!! its done being scored, and it did not get as many scores or as high an average as the last version, however, it did do very well for so their is still some hope for it yet, so lets al cross our fingers and continue to give it love cause hey, 2.23 ain't half bad. we may just see 1984 printed yet.
