This is our group effort for the second them in the Survivor competition. Our idea was to include a few pathetic looking older men who obviously hate their jobs entertaining children dressed up as their favorite animal kingdom animals. A lot of sketching and brainstorming went into our final product and we used one artist to clean things up and create a unified feel to the design. We hope you all enjoy what you see!!

i know it adds to the overall mood, but i really wish they weren't smoking. their expressions already say so much and the ciggies seem like an (unnecessary) afterthought.

Great use of negative space, and I actually' laughed out loud', to the cigarettes. It's like a smoke break at a theme park.

I suggested the idea and concept of a bunch of dudes in costumes of cute things standing around like smoking cigs and stuff hating their job and we all built off it from there.

Our original tribe was stevetrpi, mindtrance, stubby43, stubbythumbs, jstumpenhorst, plastictax cab and FireOfHeaven

We lost stubby43 and stubbythumbs between the 1st and 2nd comp. and then Fire just recently. I do believe stubby is coming back as our 5th though!

my original concept for the rhino was a midget (assuming we were going with a full body) but we changed our mind.

I got the idea from watching Carnivale actually :) They remind me of circus folk.

Reminds me a tad of Tom Burns's luckythreadz.com tee of a guy with his Bird Bird costume hat off giving the finger to the viewer of the tee, but your take on this is more subtle and varied.

I also wish there was only one guy with a cigarette and maybe some balloons being held by one of them, but i'm sure you peeps are way smarter than me and simplified it all. Great interpretation of the theme!

Great illustration, but this is a direct copy of another version of the same thing. It was 2 guys in silly animal suits sitting at a bar. I remember it, because I commented. Tell me you didn't rip off the old one.
