To help this world get over the fear of pink shirts and those who wear them.

Details here!

I tried to stay away from typical pink things like underwear and flowers, and everything here is rated G. There are some unusal things here such as botos, casa rosada, and pink slips (notice of discharge).

Pink slips?

Pink slips are what you get from your employer when they are getting rid of you. Usually when they lay you off (as opposed to firing you outright). This is very sweet (in a good way!) and the colors are wonderful. A refreshing change. And I got over pink years ago!

=) thanks! Hopefully both people who do and don't usually like pink will vote for this.

I have this theory that pink is the most loaded (in meaning) color, when in fact it occurs all around us in ordinary things. I never was a pink-loving girl, but I kind of felt like I had to absolve pink of it's exclusiveness to certain ideas so everyone can enjoy it. Pink is ok!

Maybe it's just me but... I think I would like it better if it was just a mash of pink things. I'm not liking that it (literally) spells it out for you, especially because it took me a minute to figure out that's what was going on!

That said, the illustration is very cute, AND it has a cohesive style (something that usually gets lots in subs that have a whole lot going on). I especially like the unicorn and the elephant!

Thanks for the support!

By the way, the words look clearer when you stand away from it...sorry I lack the appropriate skills to modify the design for iDan's shirt without fading everything somewhat.

And please CHECK OUT THE DETAILS!!!

Wow, this is awesome! I like that it's shaped like words. If it was just little pictures all randomly around, it wouldn't be as funny. As it is, I spent two minutes giggling while reading through all the labels. "Ham!" "Drunken Hallucinations!" "Digestive tract!" Hilarious.

Being one of the pinkest people on the planet (in terms of natural skin color), I really need this shirt. $5

Hm I guess the shrimp shape does kind of do that. I tried to make it so the antenna would keep the ! shape intact but I guess you could also see it as whatever you want.

PINK IS OK! for those who love pink, and PINK IS OK? for those who are unsure about the OK-ness of some of these pink objects. There you go lilredtexan! (Though pink eye does give me fond memories of childhood.)

And thanks ladyjessica! Yay for giggling!

=) Thanks! Actually I WAS partially inspired by the breast cancer awareness month (or week? not sure exactly how my college did it) that just passed. And I included a pink ribbon in the exclamation mark too!

I'd prefer that it not spell something out as well. But it is a great style and I do love all the elements to it.

put it on a gray T or something to make the pink objects (and words) stick out more.
justabean
justabean on Dec 03 '07
Thanks for the support! And I love to hear feedback!

I guess it could work on a gray T, though that would kind of take away the whole point that it's ok to wear (and be) pink. I was trying to use some light, subtle colors that didn't contrast so much with the tee. But it could technically work on anything.

This is epic! I love it! And I'd totally buy it, and so would my brother. I'm too late to vote on it but you get 5$ from each of us, in spirit.

This is another unnecessarily low score. Better luck next time. I think you definitely have a fun style that I'm looking forward to seeing in the future.

Aww thanks guys! Much time went into making this design...though I had fun drawing all the pink things my roommates came up with. So it's all good =)

I agree, this design is a lot of fun and should have scored way higher! Dig the style.
