the smaller image looks a little funny in the gif above for some reason...in illustrator it's clearer like the zoomed in views are. i don't know what it would look like if printed on a t-shirt, but hopefully it wouldn't be blurry like it is above.

playing in the rain - i was kinda thinking the same thing as i was doing this. seemed like a cross between Valor and Vellum and Raid 71, both of whose styles i adore. i haven't been illustrating very long and i'm trying all sorts of things right now, so i hope this one isn't stepping on any toes.

also this whole image pulls from a few different drawings i've seen... two from deviant art and one from a surf video. the concept is original as well as the drawing, but things like the basic shape of the island and the idea of the hanging lamps are taken from other drawings. i hope that's kosher with everyone.

Those clouds are cool! I think the layout, for as flowy as your lines are, is too stagnant. Play with the placement more, perhaps the ship is bigger and more on the bottom while the clouds are higher, giving the design a more floaty look.

I love it, this reminds me of something out of a children's book.

Center placement, but colours could be clearer. If the clouds were higher up, the drawing could enlarged without making the shirt look funny, and then it'll be nicer ;)
