"Origin of dance", something I came up with while listening to Matthew Dear's song "Good to be alive" and I got inspired more by the feel of the music itself rather than the lyrics. It felt so basic with the loops and the voice, but also dynamic-- so I tried to bring that into one cohesive design and this is what I ended up with.
I wanted to stick to an origin/basic type thing, so I made my color scheme the good ol' CMYK/W (I actually changed my color scheme around 3-4 times... but I ended up sticking with the basic CMYK).
I was also going to originally make the dance floor a normal dance mat, like the ones you see freestylers dancing on with their boomboxes, but I changed that to a disco floor instead, since it uses the colors in a better, retro-ish way (since disco is more "origin" of modern dance than freestyling).
I really should have put up my previous versions of this design up for critique, but I never got around to finalizing one design. I'd always get into the middle of something and then have a late night revelations and redo everything all over again from scratch.
CMY is ideally glow in the dark so it'd be great for blacklight parties or raves.
Anyways, enough of my babbling.
