You should have really ran with the whole "Mel's Diner" theme and made a Logo and everything to incorporate into the design. Scuffed it up. Maybe added some fake coffee stains. That would have been sweet.

for those who don't know . . . the lady is Flo from

a TV show in America called Alice. Flo was a

energetic waitress who worked at Mel's Diner

(where Alice also worked) and she was known

for yelling, "KISS MY GRITS!!"

I wouldn't need to know that to absolutely love it... It just encompasses that great diner look where there are no waiters, only waitresses, and they have great food and homemade cakes and everyone calls you hon and know what you're ordering before you do.

Is Holiday spelled "Holliday" for any specific reason?

I have no idea who this is.

lol

This obviously wouldn't sell in the U.S.

I agree...might sell in a country like Phoenix perhaps??

I think it is a keen idea, but probably for a crowd a bit older than the Threadless demographic. Alice has been off the air for longer than most Threadless shoppers have been on the earth.

It's definitely a 70's retro kinda shirt. i used to wear shirts like this when i was a tot. This would be SUPERB if the green type was puff paint (!) and also spelled correctly. I hope it's printed before Christmas. (and i don't think you have to get the Alice reference to dig this shirt)

It is spelled correctly. He's making a pun with her name, which is Holliday.
