About my design

by dizzilyblue
This would be a single color belt print. While I thought about adding words, perhaps letting people personalize it themselves would be more fun.

Anyway, I would love to hear your thoughts!

ahah very nice, but make it more "random" ;)

WaitAMinuteChester on Nov 16 '07
I agree with more 'random' and also I think if some of the notes had more of a curl then the sharp folds, it would help. Nice job though, great concept

I like it, dunno if I'd wear it though. 4.

Yeah, one of the better looking all over designs I've seen, but still not something I'd be interested in wearing, although the scope for customisation is a nice idea.

maybe sum random ramblings on the notes

autumn_firefly on Nov 16 '07
yeah I agree spikefishy, I feel like this is too plain

Saloc on Nov 16 '07
Maybe if it came with the option of writing your own stuff on there? Then those that like it plain can keep it plain and the others that want actual notes can write em. :)

I can see it with one note saying "Buy more Post-it Notes", but I also like it plain. It would very fun to fill in yourself.

Such a sweet belt print concept. Love the pattern but i agree a bit more random and maybe only a couple around the shirt saying something on them, to catch the eye a bit more. Maybe one of the them on the back can say "Buy more sticky notes" or something.

   FRICKINAWESOME on Nov 19 '07
oh, someone already had that idea. lol.

Woohoo! Thats cool!

Perhaps a shopping list, remember to breathe, feed cat, call mum... haha... even plain is okay though, and we can write ourselves with a laundry marker.

LOVE it.

Post-it Notes saved my life in University.

I agree with some of the other comments though.

There should be some curl on some of them and maybe some random. I also like your suggestion of personalizing it.

i agree with this statement:

lyssie on Nov 16 '07 there should be writing on random ones.

im not sure of the industry terms, but can threadless actually print on the parent spool of material before the shirts are made to acheive this kind of look?

Oh, for what it's worth, here's a link to see how the current design "tiles":

I think it has to be on yellow, generic post its are the best.

I agree some rolling of the ends would not hurt but I don't want messages on them as they may not be notes I would write to myself.

If I want to add some I can in permanent or washable marker.

Blank bases for the win!

Is this printing friendly???

Seem that they will have to print the fabric and then assemble the t-shirt

dizzilyblue
dizzilyblue on Nov 22 '07
Well, in looking at the example of Threadless' specialty printing techniques, this may work for a belt print.
wish-ga
wish-ga on Nov 22 '07
Great stuff. I don't consider belt print day wear but the idea and execution are great.

I vote for no printed-on messages. That way it can be circulated with a permanent pen, personalised and given as a going away gift.
appl_jelli
appl_jelli on Nov 22 '07
an awesome idea! but was wondering, can you print more than one color on a belt print? cos i think it would look better if the post its were a slightly darker (or lighter) shade to the shirt so that you can actually see the gaps in between, if u know what i mean?
