As I listened repeatedly to the song I kept imagining an ill-struck bargain of some sort. An unfortunate partnership that both the dual voices in the song and the moribund lyrics they recited only served to reinforce. The image of the tandem bike was first to surface, but as I played with the look of the characters the story of Doctor Faustus continued to re-appear, until finally I gave in, and drew out what was bouncing around in my head.
