sorry about the quality of the image, I should have payed a little more attention before uploading.

The flock or embroidery really aren't neccessary for this design, in my opinion.

Fluffy suede print on the ball would be good.

My question is, why is the ball green instead of the standard yellow? I would think that after whuppin on the racket... maybe red , but green?

   Bramish on Nov 13 '07
Oh, see I didn't get that it was a tennis ball and raquet. My bad.
0Jim0
   0Jim0 on Nov 13 '07
so it ok now that you know it's a tennis ball Bramish?

Why Green? Maybe we just have green tennis balls up here in Canada.. I've always used green balls...

Thats no big deal any way, it's easy to switch before I goes to print.

Tonteau: I wasn't sure it there is a major difference between suede or flock. So really I would use either.

Sorry I just wrote so much.

flock and embroidery - yes. but this - no.

Yeah a yellow ball on the green ground would look better I think... Ive never seen a dark green tennis ball :P

   0Jim0 on Nov 13 '07
I didn't realize you guys would be that particular about the colour. I've never used a "dark green" tennis ball either; but last I checked they didn't have arms and legs either.

;P

Oh!! I was so confused it looks nothing like a tennis ball and i had no idea that thing was a racket? I thought it was an agry pea on some funky shaped ice...........yeah doesn't make sense

flock AND embroidery is a little bit overkill

color aside people should be able to tell what it is by looking at it not have to have someone explain what everything is...and the color affects a viewer's ability to recognize the image...sorry

more of the racket would be really helpful - i didn't get it at all until i read the comments.

i totally got that it was a tennis ball... the ones i've seen are all light green, not so much yellow. But w.e

I got it was a tennis ball but it took a bit to notice it was a racket...

I rushed posting this one a little, I'll admit it. However I don't regret doing it. I should have put more of the racket and I actually illustrated more of it that I removed in the end because I that it was overkill.

Guess I was wrong!
hahaha

Yeah I thought it was a pea too =0! Guess reading the comments helped clarify the picture.

Needs a little more of the racket to be totally "get-able". To me it looks like the ball is breaking up a cement divider, and there happens to be silly string everywhere.

i thought it was a huge pea :)

The white lines make it pretty clear that it is a tennis ball, whatever its color. The fluorescent yellow-green color is more common here in the States (I remember when tennis balls were white!). Perhaps if the racquet were a metallic color it would be more obvious what it was?

I honestly had no idea what was going on until i looked at some of the comments....and i really tried hard to figure it out! Maybe too hard...lol. Anywho, i like the idea, but DEF more of the racket in pieces either far-away or close-up all over the tee would be better and seem more prolific anyway. Maybe make the lil' nunchucks a bit more loose as well, but nice idea that would be killer on a resub. Good luck!

This is one of those time when I wish I could pull a design early. I'm sorry to everyone here that I subbed something that clearly wasn't finished and I will not re-sub this.

I thought I should add that it's nice to get some real feedback for once.

the flock is a really good idea for a tennis ball. unfortunately i'm not a huge fan of the design really.

i totally got it.
tennis balls are kind of greenish anyhow.
lovin'.
autumn_firefly
autumn_firefly on Nov 16 '07
the ball should be a neon green-yellow - yeah the fact that it's a racket isn't immediately clear

that's what critique is for...but I like this shirt

Don't apologize for subbing it; it's a good idea. :) Just make the tennis ball yellow (just cause tennis balls are pretty widely recognized as yellow) and add a bit more of the racket and you're good.

oohhh! it's a RACKET. dig the concept. $4

   0Jim0 on Nov 17 '07
I realize thats what critique is for... but for some odd reason I was feeling rushed to get it out, and I had realized it had problems.

I'm glad that a lot of you are diggn' the concept though.

MikeeTeevee on Nov 17 '07
A good design. Obvious but: Yellow ball on a grass-green tee would make the concept stand out more. :-)

that whole mess he's standing on is a tennis racket? hmm if you make that clearer i'd give it a $4

i think it's a great design regardless of the color of the ball, but more of the racket would help
