the symbol is cool, but the repetition isn't nice. perhaps you can try just putting one in the center like a logo.

Ignore everyone else! I love this! Yes other designers have done damask prints, but yours is great because it's unique. A different take on the style. And as far as it being too busy, isn't that part of what makes damask so awesome?

If every other row was offset so that the birds weren't directly beneath other birds, the repetition would be more interesting I think.

Love the damask. Black is good. How 'bout printing on wine rather than red-- would be richer. Or a deep purple?

Thank you to everyone who said nice things! I think this could work with any color - I guess it'd be up to the folk's at Threadless. I just assumed black would be the more popular option.

There's a company founded by the founders of threadless that publishes wallpaper through a similar system to threadless. You should check it out. (I'm not entirely sure what it's called, but finding it's probably worth the effort.)

FRICKINAWESOME on Nov 14 '07 I really like this design, but there's something so classy and vanilla about the idea on a t-shirt especially for the "crazy and wooly" Threadless site tees. Good luck with it as you took your time obviously and there is a lot to like about it, but it seems like something more for a trendy New York boutique or catalog order.

I loved it before, but I love it even more now. One of the very few belt prints that I genuinely like. Red is beautiful.

love the black. I think the red would be better on maroon, with the ink the same shade of dark red that was used above for the shirt color. Hope that makes sense...

if you're going to use it as a repeating pattern, make it smaller so it repeats more times. either repeat it alot, or don't repeat it at all. pick one!

Yeah ... I assume Threadless would size it to fit. I think smaller would work well too. I just want the detail to show. Thanks for all of the feedback!
