this is the best. I'd make it a little more romantic, though. Maybe a little heart or two slightly lighter than the red t-shirt background. Love this idea :) 5

Female mantids are actually quite a bit bigger than males, so changing the size of the "girly" mantid would make this shirt a little clearer (plus appease the insect nerds). Like the idea, though.

hahaha. I like the idea but I think the design itself might need to be slightly clearly-maybe if you did the mantises in profile/silhouette so we had a better idea of what's going on? maybe with little hearts?
