Evil Clown is my fav! Great idea and fun execution, although i might go for one more villian on either side and making the rows not as long. And maybe one on the back near the neck? You forgot the villian who talks too damn much about his amazing plan and gets killed while chatting it up!

I really love this exactly how it is... the colors like people have said, really reflect old school comic printing and a fun attitude. Plus, evil villains? Come on, who doesn't want to sport that?

I love it and it is a $5 and all - but I think i would prefer it more if it was just "The League Of Cliche Evil". The Super-Villans bit seems superfluous. But that is probably just me.

"Evil Super-Villains" is somewhat redundant. I think it would read better as "The League of Cliche Super-Villains". That said, this is an awesome submission.

As though these villains are soooo evil, that they're "evil" villains. I figured there was a toungue in cheek quality to the repetitive title... Keep that feedback coming!

Excellent - but if they are all evil villains, why do you have to say "evil" in front of some of their names? Why is a seductress presumed evil but the robot has to be labeled "evil robot"?

Maybe that's not clear enough though. Anyone else have trouble with the evil before the names? If so, I could change it...

I don't think the "evil" wording should be changed. As you pointed out, you use "Evil" when referring to a type of character that could have a "good" counterpart. There are no good gangster puppets, but there are good clowns.

Shouldn't it be The League of Cliche Comic Book Evil Super-Villains? I mean, all the illustrations are comic book figures. As your title stands now, you could be referencing any Evil Super-Villains: TV, movies, etc. Just a small point, but I think it makes sense in terms of the actual depictions. 4.

That's like me saying a drawing of a black person or Asian person or white person can be rendered to look like any ethnicity regardless of what actually is. There are some things you can't change. Those characters are drawn exactly like comic book or cartoon characters. While those same archetypes may be present in movies, TV, etc, the way he has presented them--even down to the style of text--is classic comic book. |

Que? You said yourself this is a 'classic' comic book style. It's certainly not the current style though is it? Therefore the style in itself is a cliché, along with the idea of a super villain. There are other interpretations. Yours isn't universally correct. Neither is mine. I think your comment is an overspill from the slating you're getting elsewhere in the blogs. I think you're looking into this too hard to appear more intelligent than other people. That may be true, but it certainly isn't worth crowing about on other peoples designs.
