Because you never know when you might need that paperclip you found in third grade.
On either Natural or Light Blue, this little guy will help you remember that everything might be useful eventually.

Not crazy about the text around the outside (although it gives the shirt more meaning), but the "I have a pen!" made me laugh. Why? Just because.

old ladies will wear this!
and frazzled teachers!
and stay-at-home moms that are so busy nursing their newborn baby they'll throw on anything they find that's clean!

not trying to be mean, that's just who I picture this design on :)

I slightly agree with lolli, not because of the design, but the colors, the pastel thing...love the design thought AND TEXT!!

Click Here for the full-size veiw. The colors look a little darker on my screen at the larger size and different file type.

i love that the mouse is saying "i have a pen." my sister calls me a packrat, and i do carry a big purse with a bunch of stuff that could come in handy...i always make sure i have a pen with me. (: i like this design.

The text is a bit old-ladyish or something. The sentiment is so cute and funny, but I'd never wear it because of the pastels and the old lady text. But if the text were more modern somehow, and the colors more vivid, it'd be FLY.

If I had this shirt, I'd keep it forever!

I love rats, esp pack rats. I guess I'm an old lady and I do like this BUT not the pastels - I don't wear them - and I agree, perhaps the text needs both a new font and a punchier delivery. I love the rat and its pack, and "I have a pen!" is hard to pass up.

Maybe it only needs to say Packrat - the pack and the pen carry the message.

Well, I have no idea where my post went. Dang. If it ends up where it makes no sense, forgive me.

i think this is super cute. no offense to anyone, but i really don't see the old lady thing at all. i can't see any old lady i know wearing this at all.

I totally second ladyjessica... I love the idea and the drawing but the font and pastels make it seem way too hallmark-ish

I agree with chirp. I don't see the old lady thing at all either.

Here's my constructive criticism for this design :
If the image is going to be simple, then the concept is going
to have to carry the weight. It appears the concept is both
the text around the image and the humor that comes from
the rat saying, "I have a pen." I like the humor, but it's
not funny enough for me to spend $15 on. The text around
the image isn't that substantial.

My suggestion is to really beef up the image visually
so the picture will be the main reason for people to buy
the design. And keep the humor ( "I have a pen." ) as a
cherry on top.

Kill the text round the image and I'd buy it for my sister or mom :P

I'd kind of like it better without the text around. I don't love the font. The rat is adorable, and the backpack is perfect. The text bubble really makes the shirt, not the text around. Even if people dont get that it's a packrat, they'll still laugh at the speech bubble.
