You can clearly see that the text is not on any of the two T-shirts drawn. They are usually drawn to see the placement of the design or what actually goes on the shirt.
I included the text only highlight the connection to the song (not to imply it should go on the shirt), but unfortunately I forgot to cite the lyric "we talk about a life we both will understand." Perhaps that connection is fairly evident?
In any case, thank you for the compliments, everyone! As you can tell from the submission, I could see it being used for either placement, but I'm glad the wrap-around is such a hit!
very nice! i did a design project ( illustrating a children's book) with a very similar concept while i was in school.. this is quite similar to my front cover design.. only a LOT nicer.. i always loved the idea behind the book but never my design.. so well done.. and thanks! im so glad to see something so similar!
When I was a kid, my best friend lived next door and his room was directly across from mine. I used to imagine setting up a line of communication, or even building a bridge! (Neither ever happened, though.)
The genders of the kids in my design are switched, and the furniture isn't accurate, but the houses are definitely modeled after my parents' house and the one next door where my friend used to live.
I love this idea, and i like the lyrics as well! the wrap around is cool, id like to see the cord wrap all the way around the back and have the purple house on the right side of the tee. so that their windows are on opposite sides of the two houses and the cord between them longer. just a thought!
