About my design
by bogoio
I want Threadless to make lotto-tee. The white paint must be of a scratchable material(i've already seen it), so when ppl wash or scratch it, the paint crack and u can see if u are a loser or a winner.
And Threadless can gift the winners with free shirts or something like that.

seems like such a waste, kinda pointless on a shirt, they should just give out lotto cards... interesting idea though

interesting when ppl have nothing to say, and they just say shit like this guy "t-pot" said.
Very creative design!!

Good idea, but do they make the kind of paint that you're describing?

it might be more practical if threadless just made 2 shirts, winner and loser. and if you really wanted it to be a suprise, then threadless could put a cool sticker over the ticket part.

however, while a cute idea, i dont like this shirt itself. and really would not want ot wear it.

how about keep the design, and they can just send a lotto ticket with it? That way there can be one design (keep costs lower and things simpler)

But, in order for them to go through all the effort, the design would need to be a top seller. And as it is right now, I don't know if this will get a lot of attention.

Kudos for trying something new!

whoa, what ppl want?
everyone is so close minded, I make so much effort to make designs for Threadless, and i really think this one is really good.
i bet u all cant do better

and what happens after you scratch it all off? 'cause then you're stuck with a boring shirt.
KazaQ
KazaQ on Oct 27 '07
I dont think the shirt would be that funny if it was a looser. Because there are like 21512907512093 lotto tickets in the garbage that are loosers already. Its only funny if the one in there is a winner.

what if the lotto ticket on the shirt was like, heat sensitive or something so when you hold it in your hands the words "winner" or "loser" would appear. just a thought haha.
bogoio
bogoio on Oct 27 '07
Yeah July thx, the material and prizes depends on Threaless choice. At least im not trying to put it on glow ink that is a already cliched idea in here.

Splendid Idea boy!
Don't listen to those persons with the bad taste.

Hey koticus, if they send u a lotto ticket with the shirt, it won't be cheap for they, they will need to buy tickets and its not cheaper than +1 color in a shirt.
The kind of paint that is used for be removed can b of lot of types. I have silk-screen knowledge and I can tell u that is not hard to make a color on a shirt to b scratchable, basically is just to dilute the color u will use with water or something.

i like the idea, but i don't like the way it's played out here. specifically, the x-ray vision into the trash can doesn't read well.
Technicolour
Technicolour on Oct 30 '07
would I want someone to come up to me and scratch my bewbs to see if they're a loser? hmm. the heat sensitive idea from julysfirstkiss is pretty cool tho.
bogoio
bogoio on Oct 30 '07
the words on the ticket can be planned too. I don't see any problem with a shirt with a tiny loser written on it, BUT, we can change the words that would be writen on the shirt, like "Try again" or "close 1", this would depend on Threadless choice and availability.

opendestiny on Oct 30 '07
Unless the "lotto" tickets they were sending out were really tickets of Threadless own design and the prizes for winning were t-shirts/gift certificates instead of a car or a million dollars.

I really like the concept, but (I know that's the irony) I don't think I'd wear a trashcan on my shirt.

Theres is too much bias on my design/concept, i bet that if it was Ross Zietz that have designed it ppl would love it.

This is downright unique and downright ambitious! I'd wear it! I wouldn't let just anybody scratch it though. Nice jarb!!! $5
peyote
peyote on Nov 01 '07
great idea, man! But yea, I agree that the trash can is not appealing. What if you just have a kitschy lotto ticket in the middle...your choice who gets to scratch it...would all be winners though...then they would ask what did I win? then is up to you to tell them...then...ok, thats it. Good idea!

Just kidding, I love this idea though X3

I don't know. This could have been a decent design. It's an interesting concept. But the execution isn't doing anything for me. It's just a trashcan on my shirt. It's pretty well illustrated for what it is, but it's still just a trashcan.

totally unfair score

aust1n on Nov 07 '07
It's not really unfair if it was voted that way. When you put up your shirt, of course you're going to think it's unfair. When you put it up, you're allowing people to comment. I commented saying "I didn't get it," you don't have to go around insulting peoples designs like you did with me. I want to be peaceful, try to accept people's opinions. It's for the better anyways, isn't it?

I have to agree with bogoio, I think this score is way too low! It's a cool idea and I dig the colors and the way it's illustrated.

yeah, i really think that was unfair, it is like if the threadless team don't even care of you. they just want to know about the numbers.

dude, you can't post a design, then tell everyone they're wrong for not voting it higher.

by the way, i got to this design through Ross' 'Find the Animals' design. And you're wrong. His is much better.

This is an interesting idea, but the execution is all wrong. It's one-time fun, then it's a t-shirt with a refuse can on it.
