I know there was a recent submission with 'boobs' spelled on it, and penny arcade has 'boobies', but I've had mine illustrated for a while and just getting around to submitting it. I wouldn't have submitted it if I didn't think it was different enough and more appropriate for threadless. Enjoy.

I like how the entire shirt combines into the giant calculator on your chest area. I'd maybe like it a bit smaller, and turned the other way, since it's wierd your shirt is saying what's up to you when you look down. But a nice take on the idea, more subtle and smarter.

yes, right: smaller and up side down

I don't think upside down is necessary.

I think the way it is is right. makes you think when you see it. Nice design.

I like it right side up, but maybe just a little bit smaller?

wetpet on Oct 24 '07
it should be 0.7734 otherwise it can be mistaken for heiio. And it should be up side down to be readable. The calculator would be still recognizable that way. Anyhow this is an old recycled boring joke from the 80's. It is nicely done here but still outdated.

yeahh, i agree with "wetpet"

no way; it's perfect. the irony is that those who love it are going to stamp their $5 and move on, while the plebeians desperately try to make it boringly stale and obvious.

I love the "oh point one one... aha!" feeling.

I'd still buy it if the ones were sevens, and I wouldn't go too much smaller... it's pretty rad being a big fat calculator.

smaller, placed in a pocket position maybe?, right side up, with 7's instead of 1's :) love the idea

How could anyone confuse hello with a nonsense word just because of the lack of a 7??

Oh and color-wise, I really like the grey. Print on girly silver. Oh yes, I can see it all now: I can't wait to turn up to work wearing it. I love me some retro.

why does everyone try to make their prints so big? threadless is never going to print it like that. no one wants a huge calculator on them that visually dominates their entire body. Life size or a tag larger would be just fine.

pairoffairies on Oct 30 '07
I think it is big. It would be hilarious if you put it where a pocket would go. A play on both the "hello, my name is" badges and nerds with pocket protectors.
pylms
pylms on Oct 30 '07
Ok, I like it the way it is, so inevitably someone's going to convince the printers to shrink it. but please, NOT like a freaking pocket, people. The t-shirt BEING the calculator is cool: there's no border. It wouldn't work as a pocket, you weirdos. Don't change that. If you designed a t-shirt with a pocket protector painted on I'm pretty sure it would get a big fat zero. This, however, is unique.

i LOVE this! i used to love doing this when i was little. i agree that it would be awesome if it fit over the pocket area, too.

Leave it the way it is, with ones and large, and dark grey! It's awesome! However I would still buy it with the calculator over the pocket, as that is kind of cute too :)
