I think in this day and age a lot of artists would get it too. Graphic design is very in these days and in the class I took last year we spent a whole day talking about fonts.

the pun on using a serif typface doesnt seem entirely intentional, at least not without the exlplanation.

i think a serif face would keep the design simple and concise.

yea i think it would be better in a sans-serif font. if you're trying to make a pun using the serif font, it kinda fails.

oh and it's confusing whether you're making a "sheriFF" or "SERif" reference as i look at it again. i mean, i get it, but that's cause im a designer. other people might just think you spelled it wrong.
