my opinion you should replace the typewriter font with hand drawn lettering, it looks out of place, like an afterthought.
but that said, I love the concept and art |

cute, but i'd make the image a little smaller than it is now, because it seems a little crammed into the shirt.
really cute idea though, i remember going to disney land when i was 4 and not being able to go on any of the rides... also change the typewriter font. good luck! |

FRICKINAWESOME on Oct 20 '07 A city-destroyingly awesome idea Urban (I am a huge fan of the Far Side and do not remember this one, so if others cannot produce some linkage evidence i suggest they give it a rest)! Love the concept, the execution is pretty good, and dig it the most on the bottom of the tee. But i agree with the sign type, plus i think one of those monty python-esque hands would be better pointing instead of the arrow. Still a 4$ for the rampaging good times depicted here!

I don't recall this idea in any Far Side comic... Most excellent design. I like centered on the shirt, as I prefer to tuck my shirts in. I'm funny like that.

FWIW, there is a Far Side comic with this exact text and featuring a too-short monster; however, it does not have the second, tall monster.
The only option for more concrete evidence is, unfortunately, a physical search through Larson's complete collection (4000+ cartoons, mind you), since according to Wikipedia: "It is difficult to find many Far Side cartoons online, since Larson (and/or his publishers and lawyers) has been very effective at persuading people to not infringe on his copyright. There is a widely distributed letter online, attributed to Gary Larson, in which he explains the "emotional cost" to him of people displaying his cartoons on their websites, and asks them to stop doing so." |

I'm not sure about this whole farside thing, but given UrbanRaptors past on this site - his 'oh my Godzilla' contest, previous designs, and even his name, i think its safe to assume, that giant monsters attacking cities is never far from his mind.
I reckon, he's thought of this idea and just been completly unaware of the far side one. So 5$ from me, but change the font. |

Love it, love the idea and the art work..not loving the style of font. Maybe something more..handwritten looking the type writer font just doesnt go with the art style

Gary Larson should obviously get credit for the idea. I have all of his books and this is one of my favourite cartoons. MAybe it is coincidence. But Larson only has one creature in his drawing, is the extra creature to avoid litigation?
