About my design
by Keter
This started with a fractal I generated using Aphophysis, that I hand-traced and detailed in Inkscape.

I plan a series of elemental designs that show respect the history of magickal traditions. This is the first of this series, and is also my first submission to Threadless. I hope you like it.

I don't have Flash, so I'm limited to static output, sorry. To see a larger version with more detail, please click here.

yay apophysis, great programme
maybe something more interesting could have been done with the writing at the bottom

Oops, the "writing on the bottom" isn't actually meant to be part of the design.

Or the color bar. ;o)

I stand by my original remark, that I would rather just see as much of the image as possible in a zoomed in state. However, I still like it.

Interesting
I wonder how well the shirt can pick up the intricancies of the pattern. Good luck

@Nevvie - I am not the quickest artist, but they're coming. Water is already in production.

@ Rosemoo - the .gif was just too jagged (due to the details looking like fat pixels) to show the whole thing well. I tried, I just didn't have the jedi flash skills. ;o)

@ kurt bayne - I asked in the forums if anyone knew what the minimum element size could be and apparently no one knew. Nothing I could find on the Threadless site gave technical info about the resolution they can achieve. My husband does screen printing as a hobby, so he could have told me if I had been able to get even a screen number. *shrug* If this design is picked, I guess I'm gonna find out! ;o)

@ madruga - how would you have done it sans Flash?
lajlaj
lajlaj on Oct 22 '07
if you're asking about presentation, i would have had three images, one of the full image taking up most of the space, a very small tee to show placement and one small close up to show detail. i don't use flash either.

Great and effective colours!

@ lajlaj - thanks for the tip; maybe the next one will work better using this approach. Due to the low resolution of the required template (72 dpi), I was having problems with pixelation with this one, even at "full size." The next design will have more swooshes and fewer dots, so less problem with pixelation!

@ everybody else - thanks for your kind comments! :o)

Thanks for the zoomed in link and clarifying that the text is not to be on the shirt. Interesting design.
