I really like this, but I wish the sun/background matched the style of the foreground. It seems a little out of place.

So loverly and cute, and great illustration, but i do not like the tree and sun in the background... giving a 4 just because of them, if removed it would be a 5 :P

Well, most people are saying that they like your design and that a relatively small aspect of it might keep them from buying the design or giving it a score that could get it to be printed... I'm surprised that your response to that is to say "the horizon is subtle" and that it's not something that would be in real life anyway. Commenting that two conflicting design styles might keep someone from loving a design doesn't mean voters aren't seeing it or are being unrealistic or wrong, and it's the kind of attitude that may turn people away from your work in the future. That said, I'm really digging your stuff so far, good luck on putting the pieces together for a print.

I'm not sure that the horizon is done the best way it could be, but it definitely needs to be there, it balances the image. Maybe if it was more subtle rather than that big block of bright yellow it would blend in better. Love the design overall, see it on a navy colour best.

Ah, well I see that your comment was messed up and that you didn't say the bit about what would happen in real life, which led to me thinking you were giving the voters attitude. I apologize for the inaccuracy in my above comment, but I do hope you listen to criticism on your designs, as that can be what takes them to the next level.

i was also double sided right after whether to keep the sun or not but opinions from the people who saw it first said that i should... sometimes as an artist u get this feelin that ur overdoin or it lacks elements--somethin like that the sun is an easy fix anyways... cheers! |

I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. It's beautiful... the detail is great, however please please please cut the horizon, it looks like a shitty, mismatched after-thought and detracts from the gorgeous main piece.
