I interpreted it as two guys in the middle of a MMOG happen
to be contemplating the exact same thing : that the guy next
to him could be a fellow employee at work.

lol helo...you could go that way as well with the design. We actually toyed with this taking on the appearance of an online role-playing game, but took this route for the more general idea presented. Thanks for the comments so far you nifty knights and knightesses!

I instantly thought MMORPG too, but that could be because I'm just that geeky. Really, it reminded me of wanting to get back to my cube after an intense weekend of gaming. $5, one for me and one for the husband.

Kind of confusing about where the thought bubble is, what with the placement of the monster.

i don't think the message is conveyed as clearly as i would like. it is still quite nice to look at.
