Yes, I like the idea, but I feel it could be expanded upon a little more.

I thought there was a maze inside the apple worm's design at first, but alas this was not so. Maybe another maze in this one could really be the thing to bring it over the edge?

Or maybe a red outline for the apple and a hand about to reach down for the apple or a mouth about to bite into it?

good design, but i have to agree with my fellow designers. it is lacking something... ether in size or color. but i also love consept behind it. ill still get it. LOL =^.^=
