Don't really get what it's supposed to symbolize.

No symbolism necessary. Purely line art and accents. Interpret it however you desire.

so... did you etch-a-sketch this?
SoulfumeInc
SoulfumeInc on Oct 08 '07
nope. clever comparison, but i just liked the feel of the straight lines and overlapping buildings. the distressed effect gives a nice "etch-a-sketch" quality to the lines though

It sort of reminds me of a short story by Ray Bradbury I read once...I forget the name of it, but it's where this one man is walking down the lonely streets late at night, and everyone else in society has abandoned the outside world to watch their televisions, subjecting themselves to subliminal control by machines. It's a good story...and this is a great t-shirt. Kudos to that one!

it originally said "drag my corpse through the cities, I never got to visit. Promise don't let me miss it." but I dont know what the copyright issues would be, so I jumbled it up and created more of a texture than a string of text. Im fairly sure if this was printed, it wouldnt be readable

I like the idea but I think it's missing something in how it's laid out. I almost think it would be cooler if the city as a whole were smaller and the guy was just outside the city maybe 3/4 of the way across the front of the shirt, with the shadow still within it, possibly wrapped on the right side (as viewed, not worn). Also, if you made the scale a little smaller, you could heighten the buildings a bit more. Rhapsody in Blue Fantasia 2000.
