The perpective and vanishing of the building is outstanding. Maybe lose the text and just have good ol' kong reaching out for us?

Well, if I loose the text, the mix with E.T. would be less obvious... It would just be Kong with a strange light in his finger.
So if I loose the text, I think it would be better if I loose the light too. But in that case, it would just be Kong on his building, no more my first idea, and I will loose all the nonsense... And I LOVE nonsense !

Agree with losing the text... but to counteract it, maybe throw a towel around him (ala sitting in a milk carton on a bike) and drop a moon in the background?

I think his features are a little too human-like, and I don't think the text is necessary. The shape of the tower is a little...weird. Other than that, I like it; it's a very good idea, and executed pretty well. The perspective on the tower is very cool.
