i think its an ok idea, could use some work. the sun doesn't really look good, and the layout needs some tweaking.

A bit more like a potato. The color could use some work as well.

I think I remember this being in the critique, and that bottle of oil was ketchup. I thought that was a good idea.

Arguably, he would probably be thinking of a baked potato rather than a french fry, but it's still cute.

Cute, but i wish the sun was in on the cuteness as well, or was grabbing french fries on the beach in front of the potato so that it seems like others had the same idea before this potato decided to sacrifice itself to the sun god! also, nice statement on what sunbathing does to a human as well.

but just because you dig cartoony style and my ship sub has details doesn't mean that mine is a LIVETRACE so watch ur accusations!



if you can provide a link that shows an image closely to my sub then i guess that's more logical, but till then, u can try and be more mature. don't get me wrong alryt--i just don't think that's pretty fair. we're all artists here--i mean most of us anyways. GOOD LUCK on your sub!

I'm thinking AgentSuprock must be like an art critic god. I mean look at him. I wish I were a douchebag hanging drunkenly off of girls and trying to give off a Clockwork Orange feel with some black lipstick on my eye even though I probably only actually ripped it off of whatever shitty band is popular these days who in turn ripped off Clockwork Orange. Seriously, way to go man. *slow clap*



Moving on to your design (I loved your turtleneck turtle btw) I would say that the single greatest problem with this design is it has a bit of an MS paint feel to it. It's a flat-looking design that would benefit greatly from some usage of shadow or texture. I believe when it was in Critique it was pointed out to you that it was unclear that the french fry was a french fry. Use some shadowing to try to show that it has grooves, depth, definition. Check out some of the winning designs to get an idea as to how they select colors and utilize them as both main colors and shadows without going over their 5 color limits. It's not a bad attempt but really make this design the best it can be by making it really pop out. Also, I'd get rid of the word "oil" on the bottle. I think it's fairly clear that it's a bottle of tanning oil. Good luck!
