Not bad, but alas it cowers in the shadow of an excellent design by Eskimokiss that's already been printed here. Keep working on type experiments though. Text is hugely powerful when used well.

On the one hand, the typography on this version is very stylish, but on the other hand the "dog" looks like a turtle.

it should be a red fox and a brown dog, right?

there are different wordings... but the one stated just above is the shortest version that incorporates every letter

it is quick and not sly and, yes it looks like a turtle but it is brilliant! since not everybody uses Adobe on the MAC to get the reference, the image is enough, and that is supper cool!

It's really too bad this was already done.
I thought it was very cute and clever!

(Also, I think there really is only one true wording because it was meant to incorporate every letter. =The wording with "jumps" instead of "jumped")

Yes, the point is that it should use every letter in the alphabet, only once each.

Damn, I tried a search to make sure it hadn't already been done too! Good spot Mr Domino.

I'd buy it now if it wasn't out of stock :(

honestly I like this one more than the one done by eskimokiss; the separation of the shapes is easier on the eyes and the placement of the words "the sly" brings wonderful movement to the image. In the design by Eskimokiss, it looks like the fox is humping the dog in the face.

it's most definately quick, not sly, because quick makes sure every letter in the alphabet is used.

did you change the wording so that it wouldn't be totally ripping off the other guy's design?

I like this one more than the already done design as it really looks more like jumping rather than mating... Still.. I do not think it will happen for you.
Nice try though!

This looks like the first assignment from a student in their first typography class. Myriad? Really? What a bad font, in general, but especially so they way it's mixed up and has varied sizes. That's not the font to go with when trying to build characters in a smooth, natural looking manner. But keep practicing! 2

rearrange.

The mixing up and sizing is kinda necessary for the concept to work - thinking about it though, it might be possible without.
Steel Rat
Steel Rat on Oct 02 '07
(Square brackets killed that one ^ lets try again...)

mezo, true! I wondered if anyone would spot that, it was literally Illustrator > type > outlines > rearrange.

The mixing up and sizing is kinda necessary for the concept to work - thinking about it though, it might be possible without.
