The banner's a little bit unnecessary. You have a cute drawing style.

No, no -- this needs the banner because it enhances the visual pun. Otherwise, the design loses a little sharpness by making the actual drawing more open to interpretation.

But I actually think it'd be a better shirt if it was open to interpretation

i'd buy it.

i agree though, cut the banner. open to interpretation is better.

The angel looks like a dude. Don't know if that's part of the intended design or not..

i like this! the angel kind of reminds me of the cream cheese commercial lady with the short curly hair!

I like the banner because of the pun-ness. It would be sweet without it as well, though.

"wahhh i hate words on my tshirt"

jesus christ people complain a lot. it's not even constructive.

actually, its the expression "date from hell" i'm giving my interpretation of, that's why i placed the text there. and my take on it is a very literal one. im not trying to "explain" the visual here, rather, presenting my interpretation of the expression

I don't whine about words on shirts, but I'd agree that the overall design is a lot cleaner without the banner. The image itself is good enough without needing an explanation.

I agree. This is meant as a compliment to the illustration: The banner is unnecessary. I love the expressions, they do the talking alone.

this reminds me a lot of MAMBO, that australian t-shirt company. Great style!

Two boys on a date? Or is the angel a girl?

the banner makes it like 10009 times better... because how often have you said that it was "the date from Hell"?

Keep the banner. Without it, it's just an angel and a devil chatting at a table. And I think it makes it at least 10010 times better. :P

thanks guys fir the comments.

Exactly my thinking Epitome613. without the text its just an angel and a devil talking, whereas my intentiont is to depict the expression " date from hell"
