Reminds of this Far Side cartoon, except it was an Irish Setter (i think) instead of a robot. Still funny though. I like it!

I like it. But I also agree with mildish bored doesn't make sense it should be "off" and while you're at it how about "turned off" to give it the ol' double meaning?

dang, i suppose the idea isn't clear enough that the 'boredom' robot is on 'standby' and not actually 'turned off'. i just checked out the far side cartoon for the first time. i had a feeling the concept wasn't totally original. |

FRICKINAWESOME on Sep 16 '07 Yeah, i love this idea. but in not a fan of boredom being different because it doesn't make much sense. Why would the robot switch off when bored? If there must be one that's different, please make it "broken" or something like that. Other than that, great idea and a 4$ from me.

I agree with IHUGROBOTS (not about hugging robots - I'm not into that) - tucked in the middle of the sequence is the one and only expression that this robot can make and the parallels with humans are huge. So often people carry fixed expressions, belying what they are really thinking inside. But that blank 'stand-by' stare of boredom at listening to someone harp on about computer networking....we've all done it.
