For some ODD reason.. I think of a grown up version of Punky Brewster when she gets her own room. I'd wear it for that reason alone..
Also, the colors of the plaid aren't that appealing. .. $4 |

This is fantastic - great illustration, nice composition, and while I wouldn't normally like "plaid"/tartan, the colours are really nice and not too garish.

Kookaberry on Sep 11 '07 My only contention with this design is that I don't like how the paint curves like she twisted the whole roller around. It should be a very simple fix though. Otherwise it's great. I love the color scheme and the drawing of the girl is very well done.

This is a really cool design. I know that placement on a submission isn't super important (it's the design itself that should be getting the grade), but this would be really really awesome if it had side-placement on the shirt.

Kookaberry on Sep 12 '07 Her pants are rolled up too. Definintely too sexual. I can see her ankles. What's that you say? It's not the 18th century anymore? Crap. I think the rolled up shirt is fine; a lot of girls would roll up their shirts when painting. It gets freaking hot painting all day.

I love it, but I have the same critique as Kookaberry: I'd really like to see the paint rolled out more jaggedy with edges that look like they might actually be left by a roller. Even better if you leave the edges rough as coverage is often not as good on the outside edges.

If it gets approved, I'll try to ask threadlles to fix this details. ^^' And about the colour, it's supposed to be gray, cuz the whole idea is a "monocromatic world" where the girl is painting colours. :) So other colours on the shirt will just kill the idea... sorry. ^^' |

I like the design, but I'm thinking... maybe if she were smaller it'd seem like she painted more of the plain space. Well... if the whole plaid was slightly smaller... and her much more, I'd buy it then.

I agree that there is something funky going on with her arm looking kind of twisted. In a perfect world, I would choose a different color scheme.. maybe black and red plaid on a dark grey shirt (but that's just my personal preference). I would still buy the shirt =] |
