with two blue people [men]... i don't understand it. and it's a little too simple for my tastes and maybe different placing on the shirt? maybe next time. |

and, mr. T tees, i am not gay nor am i a boy and i would still wear this. "a few people" does not constitute the mass of people that are gay/bisexual/or supporters of both. you should be well informed. |

i am not gay, but i would rock this shirt. i love it i think it is awesome all i played when i was little was life.
however, i would like to know if this did have any connotations in that manner, because i didn't even think of the gay thing until i read the comments |

FRICKINAWESOME on Sep 11 '07 Of course it has something to do with people being gay. the men's shirt has two men figures in the front and the ladies's tee has two women in the front- the same front of the car used to denote the husband and wife in the original game of Life. Geez people! lol. I really dig this game and the drawing, i just wish the concept didn't go for gay but instead for an awesome situation with the pieces....
...like if the car had landed on a bankrupt spot below it, and instead of the station wagon the car was a beetle or another old beat up jalopy that a whole family was riding around in. Or something. |

The sticker is the equality sticker. It's supposed to support same sex marriage in a fun way. With teh game of life cars and peg people.

Cool idea, and it's well done too. If I recall correctly, though, the people pegs are a little more detailed; I think they have arms. And it might be better without the sticker. I don't think it needs to be more obvious than it is, and there could be problems with using that image.

What if you had three cars - one both blue, one both pink, one blue and pink? The would get more buyers, I think.

mildish on Sep 12 '07 actually, in every set i've ever played the people pegs are just like they are drawn here. just pegs. they could have more definition or shading if desired, but they are kept simple here so the shirt color can determine the peg color (see the 'next' button).

I love the design and colors. Especially the detail of the sticker on the bumper but if you remove that, you should replace it with a rainbow sticker or something. That was what made the concept sing for me otherwise it's just a car with some pegs in it. Love the palette and the design.

i really like idea but the pegs in the game i have were shaped a bit more human-like. maybe i have a weird version, maybe more ppl would get it if they were shaped that way too?

yeah, I have to agree that my people pegs were more human-like, as seen here. I think this is a very original idea though, and I think the sticker helps because otherwise it could perhaps be a father and son?

I'd definitely wear this and would probably prefer the boy one and would be unhappy that it would never fit.
without the sticker would work. many more activisty gays which would be more likely to wear the shirt do NOT support hrc because they are conservative and tend to not be supportive of ALL in the gay community. |

mildish on Sep 15 '07 wow, i have never seen that version of the people pegs. granted, every version of the game that i have played and owned are from the 80's , so that might explain it. the new peg design does look nice, and it would be an easy fix if thats what everyone wants.

I would have understood it a lot quicker if it had the other type of people in it. And the sticker doesn't add that much for the copyright issues it would bring up. Like the idea.

how come the girls/guys shirt have to be pink and blue? I'm not trying to complain about sexism, but blue is my favorite color and I think it would be lame not to be able to have in in the girls cut.
And why pink and blue anyways? People should be able to think of something different. |

mildish on Sep 16 '07 well in this design, the shirt color determines the peg color (you know, because of that whole 5 color thing). this way it allows them to print the same design for both guys and girls without changing any screens at all, but still changing the gender of the 'pegs'.

I think it's great. But there are so many other ideas with the LIFE pegs that could be hysterical--and now I can't use them because it would kind of be like ripping you off.

i dig it, sticker or no. either way is subtle, not overbearing but effective and [if you're intelligent, which is cool] recognizable.

I say drop the sticker. The people who are going to get the idea immediately, probably don't need reinforcement by the sticker. And the people who won't get it, probably are confused by the sticker anyway.
A Subaru logo on the other hand... j/k. |
