I hate this kind of stuff. Also: the kidns of records that 33 1/3 cover have nothing to do with that turntablism garbage.

Yo, the theme is "My Favorite Music". That's the only requirement.

I think your illustration is impeccable. Well done. 5

They covered Dj Shadow's Entroducing NG, and rightfully so. Techinically speaking it's a pretty good illustration and the composition works well enough. I just don't think it's interesting enough to separate itself from the oversaturation of turntable iconography that's in everything now. That we are talking about a "favorite" music suggests a very real individuality that I don't really get from this.

Great drawings of your subjects, and i love the black and white nature of this one...i just ond't really dig the criss crossed way too random way you placed these on the tee...i think they might look great straight along the bottom of the tee a bit smaller, or maybe stacked on the back vertically. But what do i know. Even though this doesn't feel blazingly unique, the design skills and the nature of the sub lead me to an easy 4 for this one.

I'm not a rave guy. that said, when you see someone who can actually "scratch", it's kind of impressive. The locals in my woods just listen to their headphones and slowly fade from song to song. That's super gay. Gay in a bad way as opposed to gay in a good way. Which is which? That's for you to decide.

billy- i don't see a thing that is homosexual about this design. good way, or bad way. pretty ambiguous of sexuality actually.

i'm feeling scared for the model!!!

I am really digging the layout and the quality of the drawing in general. However... Neither the equipment for the technique looks like that. At all. I really suggest going to Youtube and watching some DJs scratch (QBert will net you a lot of results, and he's a major trendsetter in terms of turntablist technique). It will also help immensely to check out images of turntables and mixers. I recommend looking at a pair of Technics SL1200MK2 turntables and either a Rane TTM56 or Vestax PMC series mixer. These are all very standard gear.

That's really what turns me off of this design: I know that it doesn't look at all like that, and my friends who are DJs would look at it and be like "huh?" That said, it's obviously a talented artist who's made this, and I love the layout and how the image leads the eye from one part of the design to the next.

Change the turntables, people already have stupid conceptions of us DJs anyway, like "wikki-wikkii" and all that stupid crap. We dont need more people thinking thats what it looks like
