Going for some contrasts and comparisons between genesis and evolution. theories vs faiths. the progressions of man and the like blah,blah,blah....

looks really cool, but i dont get it. i mean he is a tree, but what is the theories vs. faith ordeal? it looks like he has two mouths, the jaw falling off and that line under his nose looks like a mouth in itself. still looks cool

I love the drawing and it looks spectacular. but for some reason the placement on the shirt doesn't do it justice. great artwork though

the drawing with the background and the angle of the drawing look fantastic in the picture, but on the shirt it looks like he is growing into your neck and, frankly, that looks bad. i suggest you put the background on the shirt with him and shape it in something like a cloud style around him or have him growing in the direction of the shoulder (and a bit over it, even).



this is amazingly original regardless of whether or not it wins. keep subbing!

i love the place ment because it showes how you are the result of evolution or faith and your mind(head) is the tree top.



though the guys mouth falling off is freacken wierd. i dont like that. so its a 4 but amazing idea

i agree with diulf, having it go up around the neck does not do it justice and i think makes it less wearble. id change the placement, but the rest is very good!

so thanks everybody for all the posts and stuff. i can certainly see how having a bigger design and laying it out diagonally would add to the detail( totally agree). the main thing is that the spec guide lines that threadless set up don't allow me to... bummer. i knew that going in to the design, so i tried to do something that would still look cool (layout-wize) and still follow threadless' specs. thank again!

hey i'm so glad you agree with the placement idea. i didn't realize threadless wouldn't let you do that. what if you just put the background behind the face in a cut-out shape (not something geometric, something amorphous, like splatter or cloud)? that way you could still keep it away from the edges of the shirt and not cause problems. unless those lines in the upper right-hand corner were some neat outline you had drawn, in which case i'd say go with that for a shape.



i still gave you a 5 for the way it is now. i think it's genius. i really hope it doesn't get dumped because it's not "cute." your designs have come a long way.

it's different than most of the stuff up here, that puts it close to the top, and it's also well done, which makes it worth 5. good job.
