FRICKINAWESOME on Sep 07 '07 This needs something to connect the concept a bit more. Maybe if the boy was making a sand igloo around the whale to try and keep it cool? Or building a sand water tank around it? Or something like that?

if the kid was like...pouring a bucket or bottle of water on the whale, as in he's trying to save it, that'd be incredible...

i was thinking the same thing as EmbryoProject, that maybe he should be trying to help the whale somehow, and then i got it... he's a sand whale. that's why the kid is just sitting there.
may not be quite as meaningful as a sand whale and without a child trying to save it, but the drawing is still very pleasing to the eye. |

I agree that if it is indeed a sand whale or porpoise, it should be a bit clearer. There is texture along the edges, but you should probable scatter it a bit more in the main parts.
Otherwise. It makes me really sad. Also, I feel like the blow hole needs to be more defined? I mean. I suppose it would be kinda hard to make accurately and nicely without just making a little hole. (For the kid, I mean.) |

I like it a lot, but i agree that i didnt know the whale was supposed to be made of sand. I would totally wear it if that was made more explicit.
