About my design

Dear Son,

Your father and I are very proud of you. No matter what happens in the spelling bee today we know you tried your best. Just like the time you came in 14th in the 100-meter dash - you always make us proud!

Thought you might like a little snack to keep you going today.

We love you pumpkin head.

Mom.

I really like the variety of line weights and textures that you've used. I definitely think this kind of subject / style would look good on a shirt too.

Right now the objects or groupings are just a little too similar in size. I'd like to see a better hierarchy.

Where's the straw for the juice? Is that a napkin? What no sandwich? How about some plastic bags for the fruit/veggies?

Sandwiches are overrated. At least my mum's sandwiches were.

You've got a strong illustrative style that looks like the cool 50s and early 60s stuff I grew up loving. You should branch out into animation. Good stuff.

VERY Nicely styled, love the curviness of the juicebox. It's almost neo-cubist!

This is very sweet, and the vintage colors are a nice touch. Nice line variation as well. :-)

Nice artwork. I'm glad you drew carrots, apples & juice instead of Lunchables.

I love how your style is becoming so easily recognisable as yours.

This is really cute and I would like it on a kids tee, I love the little note too:) $5

I like this corey, but i'd like it so much more if the bag had a readable "(Heart), Mom" on it or a slip of paper in the bag that fell out with the message. It would send the nostalgic in me weeping towards the 5$ button. Still a really nice design. I like where your stuff is headed.

i like it the way it is

but maybe a heart mom on the napkin would be cute

bags /sandwiches would clutter the image

just assume that the eater is already past that stage of unpacking

Where's the sandwich? YOU CAN'T HAVE LUNCH WITHOUT A SANDWICH.

This would be cute on a kid's tee, though.

If you are really trying to get the mom thing across you should write a heart and Mom on the napkin or the paper bag. But the colors and illustrations are adorable. Cute and simple idea.
