Well, as a colorblind person myself, I know quite a bit about being colorblind. Some people ARE completely colorblind, as in grey only, most only have a deficiency in one type of cone, some people have completely dysfunctional single cones. There's quite a range of affectedness. :)

Offensive? You really haven't got sense of humour. As you can see, I'm a cat (and [almost] totally colorblind too!), and I would be offended by every single cat-featured t-shirt on threadless if I hadn't got (a sick) sense of humour. Starting with "adorable disaster" (which I'm going to buy as soon as it's reprinted).



The clock tends to lead to error, since people can either see 52:00 or 00:25. Perhaps you should use a number that doesn't make sense when seen upwards.



On the other hand, I would swear I saw this joke in a movie, television series, comic... This is not bad for your design, it's just that I'm curious about where I could have already seen this idea.



I didn't vote $5 because of the clock, I hope you can fix it so people is not confused.

I like it, all apart from the Comic Sans. It would get a $5 if you used a better font!

you know, pressgang, there is a red- blue colorblind. one of my best friends is red-blue colorblind, and so are all the males on one side of his family.



but anyway, i thought the design was really funny. i just think the illustration could be improved a bit. maybe if halftones were used. i think it's a bit too one-dimensional as it is. also, maybe you should make the clock include seconds as well, so it read 00:00:25 instead of 00:25 cos to me that means 25 minutes (unless i'm looking at a microwave, that is). it would probably also solve the confusion of 52 = 25 and all that.

GRAMMAR. It should be "I wish I weren't colorblind".

This joke was used in the 1994 movie "The Shadow." A scientist (Ian McKellan, I think) has to disarm an atomic bomb, which he does, but only because he is colorblind and unintentionally cuts the right wire.

Nope, "wasn't" is correct for singular. You wouldn't say "he weren't colorblind," you'd say "he wasn't colorblind."

Anywho, clever design, but I'd agree that the number-age needs to be cleared up a bit, just for designing's sake. Like the color scheme and the comic-y feel.

I would totally buy this for my dad, we always joke w/him about being colorblind.

I don't think it's offensive, people just need to relax and laugh at the obstacles life throws in your way.
