About the design

This is my submission for the Purple Rain theme. You see the young fella on the right is laughing (perhaps at his melting elders) - ignorant of his own impending demise! It's about the inevitability of death and the optimism of youth.
I'd say that's pretty deep.

never thought id use these two words together in a sentence but: deep and adorable! ;)
courtney pie
man, this is really deep. (love the wax in the eye detail!)
Luke...
haha, light it up!
Ste7en
I would have liked to see some wrinkles or other signs of age on the elder candles, but it is deep and well done anyway
wotto
looks good on the tee.
Kookaberry
Can the young candle have some hip shades or something? I saw this as a penile reference rather than an age thing. But my mind's perpetually in the toilet I guess. It's all TV's fault I tells ya! I'm still deathly envious of your drawing skillz though.

mrwalrusface
Awesome job again on the concept and execution
FRICKINAWESOME
Oh...i thought you were saying the folly of youth as in the young kids were burning themselves as the elder sat and laughed, which didn't strike me particularly funny. Now i get it and it's all the more neato. As Ste7en already stated, please put some things on the each candle to designate they are old/young. After this has happended, I'm $'ing all over this!
courtney pie
but doesn't a burned down candle imply oldness, and being so tall imply that he was just lit?
ImNoLo
i think courtney pie missed something...
anyways, i rather love this shirt. I'd like it better if the two older ones had laugh lines or wrinkles or something, but it's not even needed to make this great.
Ava Adore
great, love the colours

courtney pie
ya, i worded that wrong. whatev. we all know what the shirt means.
FVG
this is about impotence, right?
aled
Hahahe. It could be, I guess. Innuendo is in the eye of the beholder. Take from it what you want.

no diss, but you have a name now, much like glennz or some such...they see your name associated with it and they love it! you're a goldenboy...and that means i hate you...
i keed.

Hmmm. Not all my recent subs have scored as well, so I don't think that's really the case. When I did the WIP for this - I said I was going for the popular cute tragic comedy concept because I know a lot of the voters have a soft spot for this kind of thing. I think if anyone else did this concept, the score would be about the same.
impossibleoctopus
but you do have a name...you're up there enough to get a select...so wait...are you doing a select yet?
aled
Yeah - I'm experimenting with a concept at the moment
sometimessane
looking forward to seeing your select!
jublin
haha didnt see this one while it was up for voting. very funny fatHEAD. very funny indeed.
