francobolli on Aug 14 '07 I guess I should try to explain a little what I was trying to represent in this design. There are a few meanings for Singularity, and this design kind of derives from what was mentioned in the Mae blurb: ‘the ultimate unknowable in science... the interface between the natural and the supernatural.'
There are 4 main symbolic references in this - the snakes (evil, demons / Satan, nature's predator), the woman and her hair (humans, life, the unknown inhibition between choosing one path over another), the doves (freedom, purity, escape) and the Eye of Providence (enlightenment, a higher power). The woman is caught between choice and in effect her hair (representing life's paths, intertwined with one another) expresses the unknown link between all of us and the effect our actions have, be it natural or supernatural, that result in evil, freedom or enlightenment. The name "metaphysical battle" kind of explains a bit in itself too - transcending physical matter or the laws of nature = the unknown battle between the natural and the supernatural. Now that may just seem like I pulled that straight from my ass, but I did try to put some meaning into it! Haha... Hope you guys like it nevertheless. |

I love the all seeing eye with the doves around it. I'd prefer a shirt with just that, even though you did an awesome job on the girl too.

I love the top portion, where the pyramid is. If it were just that, I'd definately buy it, but I dont really like the girl. I mean its pretty and all, but it just looks over-decorated a little bit. Maybe I just like simplicity, but I really really really love the top portion.
