FRICKINAWESOME on Aug 09 '07 SOOOOOOOOOOO much better conceived and worthy of being printed than your "dixie wrecked" joke tee! It won't go over well here, but this is one of the few logo parodies that i've actually enjoyed in a while. Plus, it isn't a drug reference.

this is a very good idea..though many of the people here seem to think it wont work on this site..so through power of suggestion, this might not do so hot. but im sure if you submit this design elsewhere it will definately recieve a better response.

I agree on the war philosophy, I just think it could have been better handled. Since we are already in, we might as well stay... "Cutting and Running" won't fix anything, it will make it worse. |

I don't think this is a Threadless shirt. Maybe some other site, but it just doesn't seem to belong. Don't get me wrong. Interesting, but just not the right vibe. Like the one person said, political tees don't go too well. Generalized positions are welcomed, but not so specifically anti.

well, i love it, and think its probably one of the best designs here, not just because of its message (which i do agree with) but because the design is a great play off of a piece of pop-culture and american icon, the wendy's sign. i think this was a great idea with great execution. its a shame people here won't print a shirt that picks sides.

Whatever dudes, I don't give a crap about what goes on in politics. I just wanted to create some tension on one of these discussion boards, because they are so boring. This one just looked like an easy target. Early on in my life I realized that no two sides will agree with each other on political issues. It has never happened and it never will.

As usual the best thing about political subs is the comments that follows. The sub is good concept, well executed but won't sell outside the U.S because Wendy's are exclusive to U.S culture. I wonder what % of shirt sales are outside the States and whether Threadless take this into consideration when choosing which to print.

To the person who incorrectly tried to correct my grammar. "Growing deficits is our recipe" is a correct statement. Plug it into a word doc if you don't believe me. Or, so you might understand it better, replace "deficits" with "tomatoes"... you wouldn't say "Growing tomatoes are our recipe"... But to be honest, it was based 100% on the slogan "Quality is our recipe" and grammar was not considered in the design.

But actually... I think this is this shirt has generated the most interesting discussions I've ever read on threadless, largely in part to BrobAz playing the Devil's Advocate (Whoo! Unintended pun... Bush is the Devil. Nice)

funny. I usually try not to wear my politics on my sleeve and I've found it nearly pointless to argue with the Squares. People who like bush don't listen to reason and blatantly ignore reality. (so maybe they wouldn't even notice the shirt.) So maybe I would wear it, not try to explain it and enjoy their discomfort.
