I wouldn't ditch the shadowing all together. I'd keep the idea of the red dropshadow, just alter them so they look like the shapes they're below... you know... like a shadow.

"Murdered" would be a better caption. Sabotage is done to plans and machines, murder to people (and anthropomorphic eggs). Nice idea though.

It's adorable, but busy. I think it's the circles. They're a nice touch, but they pull the eye too many ways at once; maybe make them a different color, or get rid of all of them except those under the frying pan & humpty. He -does- look simple compared to everything else, but he's an egg. There's not a whole lot you can do about that. The wall is a bit distracting, too; I don't know if it's even worth keeping in there at all. Perhaps make it a little lower, and less flat.
