brick425 on Oct 21 '03 yes...flashshe...i did use that pic as a reference...this design is kill bill inspired...the drips were only created to represent blood...i read many feedbacks about drips...but thought that if there was some purpose behind it, ppl would be more accepting...guess i was wrong...i was trying to see if i could create a graphic with the idea of killing and death behind it, and still make it beautiful...thanks for all your votes and comments so far.

I disagree, I think the drips work great for this, and the shirt color is PERFECT. I reeeeally want this. I'm going to have to make my own samurai shirt now, i'm inspired!

love the color love the drips love everything about it. i think if you took away the drips on the sun you would have to take away the drips on her as well. leaving both keeps its continuity. keep it as it is!

i think it has an overall pleasing composition, due to the appropriate use of colors, and shapes. the sun really balances out the extented left side. but most of all, she's hot.

its a good design, asian thing aint my cuppa tea thou but i would have thought that referencing a pic as blatantly as this.

dood, the drips are cool. so funny that everyone is hung up on that. someone said if you remove them from the sun you have to remove them from the girl, very true, it would throw off the balance. similarly, if you remove the drips from both places the sun being the only red element would draw too much attention and again throw off the balance. stick with your instinct, it is a beautiful design!!!!

i love the colors. i would wear this for sure.

everyone's always so hung up on the drips in designs. why? they look perfect here because they have give context; the idea of violence. without the drips, the entire idea of the piece would be ruined. i love it. it also helps that Go-Go Yubari is hot as hell... but if this were ever to goto print Chiaki Kuriyama would have to be contacted for her permission, so there would be major issues. shame, really.

keep the drops on the sun hence the name. lose the drops by the sword they don't make sense there and flatten the image. overall great concept though
