Hello,
So.. The design is very simple, but I think it responds to theme ("Connect") in a couple of ways... We all know and have all done those connect the dots drawings, in this case.. we, people are the dots! How do we all connect and communicate? The Internet/Gmail :)
Also, using the blue+red+yellow+green gives that Gmailish look without using the Gmail logo, and highlights the many colors of the world... I was going to do it on white, but then I thought it would also look good on the "natural" color, supporting the "Keep It Green!" attitude! The placement might look a bit odd, but try to visualize the printed thing... it's more interesting than straight on the chest, and fills up the shirt better! :)

Thanks For Looking! :)

Simple isn't always bad. I like this one. Only thing that bothers me is the shirt placement. I think it should look the way it does in the preview.

laura g. on Jul 19 '07
yeah, the way it fits on the shirt REALLY needs to be fixed. people looking at the shirt will be thinking more about "why is it lopsided???" than the message you actually want to convey.

simple = simply sweet... nice art man, its calming in a way. makes you forget that these dot's are at war with one another sometimes...(especially when playing Risk)

cute, but god i wish it weren't on beige like EVERY other threadless shirt lately... black maybe, if it wins?

this design is very simple, but also very good. i agree with the other about making the design straight on the shirt though, and you dont need the text at all. great shirt though man!

it is a coincidence, because I had the same idea, but unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) I did not submit it yet.

Anyway, I like your color scheme, MonsieurE, even though I may already be biased towards this design. ;)

Guys are you kiddin me?
THIEF?
When i have post it there where no design submitted for the competition!!

Anyway, MonsieurE, your design is very cool, probably better than mine mine, but your attitude it's not exactly "KEEP IT GREEN"!!

Maybe I'm weird (ok, I admit it, there's no 'maybe' about it), but I don't really mind the weird angled placement suggested on the shirt. I'd be fine with a more straightforward placement, too, tho'.

It'd be dope if you resubbed this idea but included a fabric marker (sharpie) with the purchase of each tee, something cool like that might catch the attention of the voters

But I don't think that people are that experimental. Unfortunate reaLLY!

nobody stole anything from anyone. Both designs were submitted around the same time. So close that they were almost right next to each other in the pending subs tool

Oh and what do you mean by my attitude is not very Keep It Green?
Krislj
Krislj on Jul 20 '07
Sorry man, it was my first reaction. But try to understand.....

"Keep it green" in this particular case, for me was also acting fair towards strangers, not to point a finger just because someone said something.

Aniway, good luck and may the best win!

There's something missing from the concept. Perhaps only some of the dots would be connected -- allowing the shirt to also make a statement rather than just relate to the theme. There's a bigger message that a connections graphic can deliver. Finally, I gave it a 3 not because I didn't like it, but rather because it missed an opportunity to be more than what it was.

I would LOVE it without the text, and straight-center.

Much simpler without words

Mind you, I think I'd like what AbstractAngel says

It's simple and the message is pretty clear. I don't think as "creativitee" said that it missed and opportunity to be a lot more...designers learn to simplify concepts rather then add superfluous details...i believe if Monsieur had chosen to connects dots in one spot rather then another people would have complained about why he didn't start with their country!?!lol anyways great idea ...love the colors!

Shaypay
Shaypay on Jul 24 '07
I like yours better just for the detail. Maybe if some don't like the picture at an angle, make it a wrap-around? but some people might take offense that their country is on the back, haha... and I think I might like the dots better in all green. The colors are just too bright for me on this tee. but great design overall.

New Placement!
For those of you who mentioned the colors.. remember, this is tee for Gmail, it has to have something Gmailish somewhere... using the logo would be "mehh" so I used the colors... and like I said... K nevermind, read the description on top LOL it's all there :)
Thanks!

karnstead on Jul 24 '07
I'm getting pretty passionate about this shirt. I want to wear it! haha. I like either placement to be honest. It's makes for a different shirt entirely, but either one is great! The text looks worse on the centered one though. I'd definitely like to see it gone from that one.
